Obituary of David Fenton Thompson

David F. Thompson Born October 14th, 1970 Date of Death February 25, 2021 David passed away peacefully in his home on February 25, 2021. David was the Father of two children David Neal Thompson and Kahla Thompson. David also had the honor of becoming a Grandfather to Desirae Thompson. He also leaves behind his younger brothers’ Herbert H. DeWitt, IV and Michael DeWitt. His parents Herbert H. DeWitt, III and Madonna L. DeWitt are preceded in death. David was born in Bradenton FL and moved to Jacksonville at the age of 2. He resided in Jacksonville on the family property on Bowden Road all his life. David loved his family. His children, brothers, nephews, and nieces were all very dear to him. David enjoyed fishing, he liked race cars and watching racing shows. In his younger years he enjoyed working on motors and making his trucks and cars run well. He made lots of fond memories and good friends riding in the sand mines in the 1990’s. David worked at the Humane Society for a few years and he always had a love for all animals especially dogs. He later worked at Bean Tire Shop and he enjoyed his time there until he ventured into underground electrical work with his brother Michael. David was a loyal friend to many especially his friend David Sweat Sr. Recently David lost his Mother after a long battle with cancer. We know he is with her now. May he rest in peace.
