Bobby Eugene Reese, 82 of St. Augustine, Florida, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville Florida on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 after battling cancer to a draw.

Bobby was born August 2, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up there and in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a long-time resident of Orange Park and Fleming Island, Florida before moving to St. Augustine. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Angela Reese, parents Lloyd Jason Reese and Frances Elizabeth (Moody) Reese, as well as his brother Howell, sister Kathy, and son Jason.

Bobby is survived by his son William and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Lalli-Reese, daughter Amanda Murdock and daughter-in-law Robin Murdock, 4 granddaughters Gabby, Reese, Rowan, and Elle, and his 2 sisters, nieces and nephews.

Bobby was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the United States Marine Corps, and of Operation Desert Storm when his Army Reserve unit was activated. During his USMC career, he was also a drill instructor at the recruit depots in Parris Island and San Diego. After his active duty military career, Bobby was successful in pharmaceutical sales, and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. Bobby received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of North Florida (1980). Bobby was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he also held many positions of leadership.

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, strength, and service to his country will live on in the hearts of those he cherished most.

Bobby will be put to rest in the Jacksonville National Cemetery with his eternal wife, Angela.

There will be no public service or memorial.
