On the day of April 3rd, 2025, Roy Leonard Rutland was called to be with the Lord and passed away peacefully in his sleep in his home located in Jacksonville, FL. Roy was born in Eldorado, IL in November of 1948 and raised in Evansville, IN where he graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1966. Roy lived to be 76 years old. He served two years as a communications technician in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Roy was also an active member of his local community and was always willing to give a helping hand to those around him and he is revered as such. Roy is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda Rutland, his daughters Danielle Rutland and Patricia Mingin and many grandchildren. He is also survived by two sons and three siblings who will remain nameless. Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service.
