Wilbur Peck Jr (Will) passed away Sat. May 24th 25 at home under Hospice care.
Wilbur Was preceded in death by his parents Charlotte and Wilbur Sr, his brother James Peck (Lu), his sister Karen and son Garrett (Gary).
Will was born in Wash. DC. on Dec 1, 1934, Grew up in Bethesda Md, Graduated from Chevy Chase HS in Md.
Joined the Marine Corps in Dec. 1953, his last assignment was Admn. Clerk for the Marine Band at the Marine Barracks in Wash. DC. until Dec 1957.
Attended the University of Maryland, then worked for Kraft Food Wash. District for the next 15 yrs.
Was hired by Fisher Cheese Co traveling the N.E, then moving to Jax to take over S.E.
The Trigg Co food Broker was his next job as a Manager for their Jacksonville Office then Manager for the Orlando Office.
In 1994 the family moved back to Jacksonville and Will started a new Co called "Gasketeers:"Refrigeration Service Co.
Will is survived by his wife Claudette who grew up in France. They married in August 1975. Her 2 sons Christopher( Jill) and Bryan Reynolds, Grandson Christopher Jr, (Crystal), Christopher's 3 daughters and Granddaughter Paige Reynolds, Niece, Debbie, Nephew, James and friends.
Will and Claudette had a very active life of family gatherings, Boating, Fishing, played tennis at Hidden Hills CC. and lots of travels.
They were also very involved in the Episcopal church, Will as treasurer, both sang in Choir and helped in fellowship.
His Memorial will be June 21st 25, at 11am, At Resurrection Episcopal Church, 12355 Ft. Caroline Rd. Jacksonville FL 32225. Reception in Parish Hall following the service.
Will wishes was to be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Date to be announced.
