With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Rodger Dale Kemp Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as “Little Rodger.” He entered this world on February 18, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and departed on July 14, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and boundless love.

Rodger Jr. had a gift for lighting up every room he entered. He was known for his easygoing nature and the generous spirit he shared with everyone around him. Whether he was offering a helping hand or cracking a joke at just the right moment, Rodger’s presence was a bright thread in the tapestry of all our lives.

Though his journey ended far too soon, Rodger packed a lifetime of kindness and purpose into each day. He had a passion for collecting coins and the outdoors lifestyle. He brought those same values—enthusiasm, dedication, loyalty—to everything he pursued.

Rodger bestowed a love that transcended mere words. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and father—one whose memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts. His capacity for empathy and his generous, playful spirit touched everyone; those lucky enough to know him will always remember Little Rodger’s wide smile and unshakable kindness.

He is survived by his mother Judy Christiansen and Father Rodger Kemp, brothers and sister Jack Christiansen, Edwin Vicente, Christopher Kemp, John Moffitt, and Amanda Leblanc and his daughter Haleigh Marie Kemp. He is preceded in death by Jo and James Moffitt who raised him to an adult. Though the ache of his loss echoes deeply, we take comfort in knowing that Rodger Kemp's kindness and joy remain with us—in every fond memory and loving story.
