Ricky Lee “Rick” Daily, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed into Glory on September 9, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on February 13, 1956, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Rick lived a life marked by faith, family, and a hands-on spirit and crazy personality that touched many.

Rick was the beloved husband of Theresa Daily for 35 years. Together they built a life filled with love and shared purpose. He was a devoted father to his bonus sons, Scott and Kristopher Hobbs and bonus daughters Deena Wheat and Brittany Hobbs-Silvers. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Jacob and Savannah Silvers, Brooklyn Baker, and Ivory Garcia-Hobbs.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Carrie Daily. Rick is also remembered by his siblings: brothers Bob (Norma) Daily and Rodney (Tammy) Daily; sisters Regina (Charlie) Mohler, Becky Harrison, and Renee Hill. His extended family includes many nieces and nephews who will carry forward fond memories of their uncle.

A man of faith, Rick was an active member of First Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach. He found fellowship and strength within the Iron Men Sunday School class and took great joy in participating in several

mission trips to Honduras—experiences that reflected his commitment to service and community.

Rick had a passion for “fixing” things and could often be found tinkering in the garage with whatever needed fixing (whether it needed it or not). Whether it was a broken toaster or a project waiting for attention, he approached each task with determination and steadfastness.

Rick’s life was one of quiet dedication—to his family, his church, and the simple joys that brought him peace. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 14, 2025, with visitation at 2:00pm following with the service at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church 1600 S. 8th Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida.
