Geraldine Joanne Figliuolo October 4, 1949 – November 29, 2025

Geraldine Joanne Figliuolo, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on October 4, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, Geraldine spent her childhood in Sparta, NJ, where she graduated before beginning her lifelong journey of family and devotion.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joanne and Richard Curley, her husband Michael Figliuolo, and her youngest son Vincent Kristensen. Geraldine’s memory will be cherished by her eight children: Colleen Romano, Robert (Danielle) Kristensen, Kelly Shields, Jamie Kristensen, John Figliuolo, Gina (Thomas) Grande, Deanna (Rich) Lake and Toniann (Jason) McLaughlin. She is also survived by her six siblings: Richard Curley, Virginia (George) Smith, Cindy (Wayne) List, Peggy Curley Wilkens, Kevin Curley, and Patrick (Bridget) Curley, along with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who adored her deeply.

Geraldine was the matriarch of her family; a fiercely protective mother whose love knew no bounds. She had a heart of gold and was known for her generosity, always willing to give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with kindness, in the traditions she built, and in the love, she poured into her family. Geraldine will be remembered not only for her resilience and protective spirit but also for the warmth and selflessness that defined her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 294 S Sparta Ave, Sparta, NJ, on December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EST, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate her life.
