On February 2nd, 2026 our father Ramon Miguel Castellano Rangel closed his eyes for the last time. He was there when we opened our eyes and we were with him when he closed his. “Big Mike” as he loved to be called passed away peacefully with both his daughters and son-in-law by his side, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.

He was an avid outdoorsman and classic car enthusiast who loved life and his family. His life was deeply rooted in the simple joys that mattered most to him.

His found greatest happiness near the water with a line in the water and the sound of the waves nearby. The beach was his home away from home.

“Poppa” or “Big Mike” is survived by his two daughters, Juanita Anne Glascoe and his grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Jonathon, Marie, DJ, Lexi, and Nathaniel. Along with his great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

His daughter Ester Marie and son-in-law James Furgerson and grandchildren, Kasandra Leighe Parra and Tiffany Marie Green and granddaughter, Giavanna La Reign Green.

His siblings, Aurora Priest, Louie Rangel, Bertha Almaraz, Joseph Rangel, Olivia Rangel and Margaret Almaraz. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
