Donna Kay Brown Obituary
Donna Brown, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Donna was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, caregiver, faithful servant of God, and dear friend to many. Her life was defined by kindness, service, compassion, generosity, and selflessness. She is cherished by her beloved husband of 19 years, Alan Brown; her daughters, Mandi Nix, Kelly Parker, and Katie Clarkson; her stepdaughters, Alisha Brown and Olivia Brown; and her cherished sons-in-law, Farris Nix, Kyle Parker, and Blair Clarkson.
Of all the roles Donna held in her life, being “Nana” was the one she treasured most. Her seven grandchildren were truly the light of her life: Adam Parker, Sam Nix, Amelia Clarkson, Owen Parker, James Clarkson, Ivy Nix, and Riley Clarkson. She loved each of them deeply and found immense joy in every moment spent with them. She never missed a soccer game, theatre performance, dance recital, or any other opportunity to cheer on her grandbabies.
Donna dedicated her life to serving others. Whether through the church’s children’s ministry, youth programs, volunteering at summer camps, dance recitals, cooking in the church kitchen, or caring for the many children in her in-home daycare, Donna touched countless lives with her loving spirit and servant’s heart. To so many children and families, she was simply and lovingly known as “Miss Donna.”
Donna’s kitchen was the heart of her home, and you could almost always find her there preparing meals for family, friends, or anyone in need. She was a wonderful cook who showed love through a homemade cake, a warm meal delivered to someone in need, or time spent cooking alongside her grandbabies.
Donna was also a treasured friend. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for, and the friendships she built throughout her life were deeply meaningful to her. So many were blessed by her encouragement, listening ear, unwavering support, and genuine love for others.
Donna was a faithful member of The Church of Eleven22, where her love for the Lord and others was evident in the way she lived each day. Throughout her health journey, her faith remained steadfast. She continually reminded those around her that “God is good” and that His love remains constant, no matter the circumstances.
Donna was deeply loved by all who knew her. Though her family grieves this tremendous loss, they find peace in knowing she is now healed and at home with the Lord. Her legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Eleven22, located at 651 Commerce Center Drive, Suite 100, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
Donna will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
