Obituary of Leslie Harrell
leslie “Sue” Harrell, 60, passed in peace on April 27, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida, beloved wife of the late Ray Harrell, loving mother to Lorna Sue Harrell & husband Richie and adoring grandmother to Jazmine, David, Izayah and Joel. Sue was born on January 9, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, to the late Lorna Gay and George Sr. She was sister to George Brown III and wife Mary, and wonderful aunt to both David Brown, wife Jenna and son Gauge, and to Michael Brown and his son Gaetano Gagliardi.
Lorna Sue relates a memory of her mother’s amazing heart. Sue told her daughter she will get a cat of all different colors for her birthday. Lorna asked “like the rainbow?” and Sue said ‘yes’ with her beautiful smile. The cat was then named Rainbow and was loved for 14 years. Lorna will always remember her laugh and that smile.
Sue loved her family and friends and will be missed by everyone. She had a good life with some struggles, but always showed love for those around her.
Sue will be remembered with a memorial service in St Louis at a later date for family and friends.
