Obituary of Delores Marjorie Phillips
Delores Marjorie Phillips age 71 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday May 6, 2019 at home in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on November 3, 1947 in Bonnett, St. Catherine Jamaica to Edgar Bryan and Elfreda Otelee Taffe. Delores attended Excelsior High School in Kingston, Jamaica where she received scholarships and was always on high honor roll. She was a very intelligent woman. On November 14th, 1970 she married Anthony Phillips and had 4 children. Delores worked as a Dietitian nurse at New York hospital in White Plains, NY for 20+ years. She enjoyed working with her co-workers and spending time with her family and friends. Her loving nature and devotion to people allowed her to assist numerous family members on getting their visa's which allowed them to have a better life in the United States. She was a devout Christian who studied the bible daily. Delores special interest and hobbies included drawing, painting, crocheting, reading, solving puzzles, listening to Boy George, watching Joel Osteen, gardening, taking walks & enjoying nice scenery. She is survived by 5 siblings, her husband Anthony and her 4 children Heather, Denise, Marc and Nicole; 8 grandchildren Alesha, Mark, Nathan, Marcus, RayShawn, Miyah, Marlo and Nadia; her neices and nephews. Delores will always be remembered as a bright and beautiful shining soul to family and friends who genuinely cared for her.
