Obituary of Charles Anne Mullis
Charles Anne Mullis was a faithful wife of over 50 years, a loving Mother to her four children and an exceptional “Gran” to her three grandchildren. She was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Fernandina Beach, Florida and deeply religious. During her life she had many careers: writer for The Mountain Eagle, photographer, goat farmer and organic farmer, before it became mainstream. She loved to travel in her little red car and stopped at every Cracker Barrel she could find to sit a spell in their rockers. Charles Anne never met a stranger and loved everyone she met which is why she enjoyed “holding court” at the Amelia Island Coffee Shop on an almost daily basis. Her sense of humor was slyly unexpected. She was sassy, embraced life and showed her faith through her love of her fellowman. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and acquaintances but she will be welcomed with a sweet tea with extra lemon in heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church Fernandina Beach, Fl.
