Obituary of Joshua Brandon Carr
Joshua B Carr Sr, 30, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on November 15, 2019
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Murray Hill Christ Community Church on December 7, 2019 at 11 am with his childhood friend and Minister Jarvis Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will gather to continue Joshuas Celebration of Life following the burial.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Robin Carr of Jacksonville, FL; his father, Edward Carr of Jessup, MD; brothers Tyler and Nicholas Carr; his children Joshua Jr. and Avalessa Carr; niece and nephew Jasity and Dalton Carr; and his Godson Dracyn Romano-Absher. He will also be deeply missed by his aunts, cousins, and many, many old and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his great grandmother Beaulah Walters; his grandparents Yvonne and Robert Dorsey (Nana and Pop), Lester and Caroline Carr; and his uncle Micheal Grimes.
Even as a child Joshua was very bright and had a love for reading that he carried on as an adult. He recently took on a love for adult coloring books and would color for hours on end if you'd allow it. Joshua loved sports and was a star athlete since the age of 7. He loved the Jacksonville Jaguars but his favorite team of all was the Florida Gators. He was so proud of his son, Joshua Jr, who followed in his star athlete footsteps and became an all star pee wee football player with their #1 girl, Avalessa cheering her brother on as one of the teams cheerleaders. As everybody knows Joshua also had a love for shoes especially those Jordans although his mothers wallet definitely felt the lack of love caused from his obsession. Joshua would do anything for anyone and never knew a stranger. He always lit up a room with his contagious goofy smile and his huge sense of humor. He truly loved his friends and family, but always said his greatest accomplishments and love of all were his twins.
Joshua will forever be loved and missed.
