Obituary of Kylar Thomas Parker
Please share a memory of Kylar to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kylar Thomas Parker was born 4/24/2003 to his parents Joe and Lynna Kay Parker. He joined his older brother Logan.
To sum up who Kylar was in a paragraph is not possible. To know him, was to love him.
Kylar was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend, and Christian. His parents adored him and were so proud of the young man he was becoming. Kylar was a Junior at Fernandina Beach High School. He was born and raised in Fernandina Beach, FL.
His brother Logan, though older in age, looked up to Kylar. He said he was his best brother. Kylar’s family, friends, and teachers say he was funny, intelligent, sensitive, polite, stylish, artistic, and a talented musician. He played many instruments including the trumpet, French horn, and mellophone. He could be found with his extended family the Mighty Marching Pirates when he wasn’t home with family. Kylar loved Star Wars and Marvel movies, Especially End Game. He and his dad spent many hours watching those movies and shows like “The Office”. He and his mom enjoyed painting rocks and canvases. Kylar also loved his dog Zoey, the way any boy loves his dog.
Had Kylar lived longer on this earth his plans were to become a Forest Ranger, work in the Great Smoky Mountains, and start a family. He loved being in the mountains of North Carolina and seeing Elk & Bears in the national park.
Kylar left this earthly world 4/27/2020 and went into the arms of Jesus, joining loved ones who preceded him in death: Maternal great grandparents Bernard & Hilda Higginbotham and Roscoe & Mary Kate Moore. Paternal great grandparents Charlie & Jean Parker, maternal great grandparents Tom & Norma Dolan, His Uncle Jimmy Sparkman, (who helped Kylar take his first steps)was also there to greet him in heaven.
Kylar is survived by parents, his brother, maternal grandparents Ronnie & Fay Moore, paternal grandparents Roy & Linda Parker, aunt Ronae Moore, Uncle Jay Moore, great aunt Kay Sparkman, great uncle Jimmy Moore, great aunt Jerrie Moore, many other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family, and friends, who love him so much.
Kylar was loved beyond measure. His favorite scripture verse was Philippians 4:13, which he wore daily on a bracelet as a reminder that through Christ Jesus’ strength, he could do all things. He was baptized as a child and rededicated his life to Jesus as a teenager.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to a scholarship in Kylar’s name to assist students who wish to be in band, but may have trouble paying the many fees involved. There is no better tribute to Kylar’s love for music and band than helping others.
