Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Daniel E Hermany III passed away at home on July 16, 2020 at the age of 30. He was a Jacksonville native, born at NAS Jacksonville hospital on December 12, 1989. He is survived by family in Jacksonville, Florida (FL) and Chelsea, Alabama (AL): his mom, Mary Morrison (husband Tommy) (FL); his dad, Daniel Jr (wife Sandy) (AL); his sister, Nicole Seymour (FL); his step-brothers, Matt Black (AL) and Noah Morrison, US Army, stationed overseas; half-brother, Joshua Hermany, and half-sister, Olivia Hermany (AL); a niece and nephew, Seraphina and Hunter, a grandmother, Barbara Gallamore (FL); a grandmother, Jan Hermany (AL); and many other relatives in North Carolina, Alabama, and Pennsylvania.
Daniel was a great handyman and enjoyed helping senior adults at his church with projects around their homes. He was great with children and loved his family. He was an excellent painter, but it was a God-given talent as it wasn’t something he said he would have chosen as a career. He loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt with his dad and friend Jerry at Camp Blanding. He loved to fish and his favorite spots were Mandarin Park, County Dock, and Guana River State Park…..really anywhere with water and opportunity. His favorite vacation was at Palm Coast resorts…..it had everything he needed on site. He could make you laugh with any story he would tell, and he had plenty of them from his lifetime. His favorite radio station was 93.3 and the louder the better for him. He was a wonderful hugger, had a caring heart, and he had the most awesome smile. He loved sushi, pink starbursts, chocolate milk, smarties, waffles, any flavor icee, and so many other things that make us smile when we see them. He will be missed greatly by the ones he left behind.
There will be no formal services. At a later date, family and friends will gather in his honor for a “Celebration of Life”. Please visit the Tribute Page to share a memory / favorite story, post a picture, light a candle, etc. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to your favorite charity or plant a tree in your yard. The family requests that you hold your loved ones/family/friends close, hug them often, and tell them you love them every chance you get.
