Obituary of Diana Owens

Diana Marie Owens, 66, of Jacksonville, Florida died peacefully in her home Tuesday, September 22. She was born in Flint, Michigan on November 2, 1953 and grew up on the family dairy farm. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Earl Becker and Anita Marie Berry along with her brother Jeffrey Paul Becker. Diana is survived by her daughter Carol Owens and two grandchildren Stormy and Monroe. Surviving other siblings include Bonnie Jameson, John Becker and Della Becker-Cornell. Diana spent the first half of her life in Michigan before moving to Florida where she called home. She had a career as a licensed optician and accomplished her dream of owning her own business for eyewear. Diana had a love of elephants and collected them all her life. She always had pets and especially enjoyed dogs. The real joys of her life were her daughter and grandchildren. She loved the little vacations they took and particularly liked seeing the change of the leaves in the fall. Diana was a down to earth hippie and proud of it! In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contribution be given to them to fulfill her final wishes.
