Obituary of Edna Virginia Lynch

Edna Virginia Lynch Silcox, age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on October 21, 2020 after a long illness while residing at the Heartland nursing home in Jacksonville. She was born on November 8, 1935 in Jacksonville, Florida to Edward Victor Silcox and Dessie Odessa Daniels. She went by many names in different times in her life... wife, mother, grandmother, plant lady (known for raising and selling plants and flowers), cake lady (gotten from her love of baking and selling cakes, she had loads of Wilton cake decorating books, cake pans and supplies) and gardener (she liked raising her own vegetables). Her favorite hobbies were gardening, reading old western romance novels, watching western tv shows, crossword puzzles, fishing and cooking good ole fashioned country meals. She loved canning foods and always shared her stock with family members. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She always had a tree that nearly touched the ceiling with so many decorations you could barely see the tree itself. She cooked for two days at least to prepare for the holiday feast and it was always more food than can be eaten in a week. Edna is survived by her daughter, Angela Buchanan, and her four sons, James Warner, Melvin Warner, Edward Warner, and William Warner. Also, by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and not to be forgotten, her little pooch, Sweetie Pie. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her, but Heaven has gained another angel.
