Marilyn Kay Decker of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away peacefully with her children by her side on December 9, 2020.
Marilyn was born on January 9, 1953 to John Charles and Marjorie Olivia Priestly (Bailey) in South Charleston, WV. After graduating George Washington High School in 1970, she studied at Marshall University. A longtime resident of White Sulphur Springs, WV, she worked at the White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center and Blake’s Restaurant. She spent the last years of her life residing in Fernandina Beach, enjoying the warm weather and relaxing at the beach. She loved to craft, was an exceptional cook and had a talent for organizing and planning.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Jennifer and Blaine, grandchildren Claire, Isabella and Giuliana, brothers John Charles II and William Priestley, sisters Linda Williams, Katherine Funfstuck, and Lisa Meabon, nephews Nicholas Meabon and Michael Potesta and nieces Michelle Swift and Erin Hubbell. She was preceded in death by first husband David Lunden, both parents and brother Stephen Priestley.

Her family is especially grateful to the Baptist Medical Center and Community Hospice staff who kept her comfortable and ensured her final days were peaceful.
