Obituary of Donna Bowden

Donna, age 56, passed away unexpectedly in UF Health Jacksonville on March 22, 2021 while lovingly surrounded by her family. Donna was born in Jacksonville, Florida to her Mother Joanna Lee Wollitz (Wright) and her Father Ronald Jeffery Bowden. Later in her life, she moved to Yulee, Florida to the beautiful waterfront property her Grandfather Joseph built his home on. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, watching birds, and walking along aside her many dogs she came to rescue over the years. She loved her animals, and they loved her. She enjoyed being able to give animals in need a loving home, and being there for them. As much love as she had for her animals, she also had for her people. Donna is survived by the love of her life, Paul Christopher Parrish, Aunt Deany Leigh Wright of Jacksonville, Florida, Sister Dianna Lynn Boase (Bowden) of Middleburg, Florida Nieces Amanda Lee Richardson of Jacksonville, Florida and Brittany Leann Boase of Chesapeake, Virginia, and lifelong friend Patti A. O’Brien of Hinsdale, Massachusetts and Patti’s sons; Kevin O’Brien and Austin O’Brien. Donna will be jovially remembered for always eyeing a good bargain and holding her one of many mean Chihuahuas that seemed to only love her. She will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life service for Donna will be held at Blackrock Baptist Church on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Brother John Kasper will be officatiating. Arrangements are under the care of Eternity Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, please send monetary donations to the Humane Society.
