Obituary of Angela Paige Davenport

Please share a memory of Angela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In the early hours of April 16, 2021, Angela Paige Weeks Davenport quietly passed away in the care of Community Hospice with mom and dad at her side. She was 48 years old and her time was cut painfully short for those who knew and loved her. The loss of Angela is especially felt by her parents, brother Kyle, sister Carol, children Paige and Brooks Davenport, life partner John Golio along with so many lifelong loving friends. She was born in Jacksonville, February 3, 1973 to parents Joy and Donald Weeks. She was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece and loyal friend. Although born with a hip displacement at birth requiring a full lower body cast for months, she began dance training at 4 years old. Dancing ignited a spark within her and she developed into an extraordinary talent. She was known for a gorgeous smile, a willingness to always help her friends and to just be in her presence. Her love of music and talent for dance was recognized as a graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and she loved DA. The outside recognition earned her a scholarship at Chicago’s nationally known Gus Giordano Dance School. Anna Maria Island was a very special place for her because the family spent many days and weeks there while in her early teens. She developed a love for the island and made many friends and wonderful memories on those white sand beaches. Angela was an alumnus of the original Jacksonville Jaguar Roar Cheerleaders in 1995. She was one of 34 beautiful and talented young women chosen from more than 700 who had tryouts. She left the group after three years having established amazing memories and close, forever friendships with several of her fellow Roar members. A service of thanksgiving for Angela Davenport will be held at The Hodges Presbyterian Church located at 4140 Hodges Blvd on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. There will be a pre-service visitation outside the sanctuary at 10:30 AM with services beginning at 11:30. Masks will be required inside the sanctuary.
