Obituary of Ralph William Taylor Jr

Ralph William “Billy” Taylor Jr., 1/12/64 - 5/15/21 Billy passed away peacefully at home on a Saturday afternoon due to natural causes. He had recently returned home from a two-week stay at the hospital and was eager to get stronger and better and to spend more time with his family and friends. Billy was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and a Northside native of Jacksonville, Florida where he spent all of his life. He was a contractor by trade and was passionate about music, family, and the ocean, including scuba diving which he shared with both of his children. Billy was injured in a fall in 2008 which resulted in medical issues that followed him through the rest of his life. We have been blessed to have cherished 13 more years with him, and find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering. Billy is predeceased by his mother JoAnn Taylor, father Ralph William Taylor Sr., and brother Robert “Bobby” Taylor. He leaves behind his wife Barbara Taylor, son Mitchell Taylor (Megan), daughter Brooke Taylor (Ethan), sisters Carol Holliman (Ray) and Cheryl Taylor, and countless family and friends that share our love for the beautiful, silly, and loving man that was Billy. Billy’s family and friends will celebrate his life at Huguenot Memorial Park, where Billy and his loved ones have shared a lifetime of cherished memories.
