JACKSONVILLE – James "Jim" Elliott Mooney III, 66, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at his home.
Jim was born Feb. 19, 1955, to the late Jim and Sallie Mooney and was a graduate of The Bolles School. Jim was an employee of Johnson & Johnson in Jacksonville. He had a passion for guitars and was a life-long musician. He was a loyal friend to Jim Brown and Chip Jaynes for over 50 years. He is also survived by his special friend Susan Palmer.
Jim is survived by his brother Bob Mooney, his wife Susan, and his nephew Andy. Jim is also survived by his Uncle Dick and Aunt Helen Mooney, several cousins, including Susan Mooney Morris.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
