Obituary of Fimmie Doreen Rains

Fimmie Doreen Rains (Strickland) was born September 30, 1960 in Jacksonville Florida. She graduated from Barber college and was a Barber in Jacksonville for over 40 years, even running her own shop on Cassat for several years. She was a longtime member of Franklin Street Baptist Church. She loved to sing, dance, and was actively involved in the beach bopping community of Jax. She so sweetly loved her family and friends, as well as her 2 precious Chihuahuas. On October 15, 2021 the Lord called Doreen home. She is preceded in death by: James A. Strickland (Father), Frances L Carver (Mother), F. Darlynn Shad (Sister), and Husband Bruce C. Rains whom she dearly loved. She is survived by: Dolores Hickcox (Aunt) James Hickcox (Uncle), two nieces Alicia Shad and Christal Shad, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Memorial service of her life will be held Saturday the 6th of November at 12 at Franklin Street Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Terry Gore. There will be NO cemetery services following. Make any donations out to Franklin Street Baptist Church. Small flower arrangements are welcomed at the service.
