I have several favorite memories of my sister when she was little. First of all, she gave me the only nickname I have ever had. She called me `No-dee. She aso called my mother Mu-`dough before she called her Mommy. When she woke up from a nap, she would begin calling for my mom and then if that didn't produce a result, she would begin calling Nodee! I also remember that I was a four year old kindergarden drop out because I cried and insisted on staying home with Beth. I claimed that I wanted to stay at home with the new baby. As she got older, Mother claimed I kept her entertained as she sat in the playpen and I entertained her from right outside her playpen! We were almost exactly 4 years apart. One other memory I have of her is when she was told my Grandmother Byrd (my mother's mother) was coming to visit us. Beth kept patting her crib mattress and saying that Grandmother Byrd was going to sleep right there with her. The day came when my grandmother arrived and Beth said with surprise, "She's not a bird!" She had thought we were talking about a bird coming to visit and she planned on it sleeping in her crib with her! Rest in peace little sister. Noel
