Glenwood L. Quick passed into eternity on December 4th, 2021. Glenn was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on February 10th, 1938. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gypsy, his parents, William L. Quick and Hattie Josephine Dunning and his sister, Celia Ishmael. Glen leaves behind, his sister Marjorie Thomas Rainwater, his nieces Teresa (George) Metivier, Bobbie Dunning, Rachel Bennett (Matt), Amy (Fran) Rechner, and nephew, Brian (Josie)Thomas, and special friend, Lori Tritt. Glen served in the United States Navy as an a Aviation Mechanic and retired after 20 years of service. After his discharge, he continued as a civilian employee at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville and retired from there after 16 years. He also worked at the Post Office for a time. Glen enjoyed reading, traveling to the Virgin Islands (not the touristy ones with the crowds, but the quiet remote islands.. especially Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands). He loved his little dog, Dusty and his cat, Tiger and grieved recently when his little dog, Dusty died. He will be missed by the many friends who knew and loved him, including his friends from Jost Van Dyke...who had become like family through his many visits.
