Obituary of Jack Gebert

Jack Gebert age 90, peacefully passed away on Tuesday January 4, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for very close friends and family it will be some time in February due to COVID and birth of another Great-grandchild. Jack was born on September 5, 1931 to Amelia and Alexander Gebert in Jacksonville. He was predeceased by both his parents and his wife Geynell Mohr and great grandchild Maximus MacFarland. He is survived by his brother Edward Gebert, his sons Gary Gebert, Kelly Gebert, Keith Gebert and his daughter Terry Timmins and step-daughter Melissa Mohr. Grandchildren Dana Evans, Ryan Waters, Taylor Gebert, Dominque Gebert, Jarrod Gebert and Tricas Huss. Great Grand Children Cody Lunsford, Ethan Lunsford, Haley Evans, Cohen Waters, Hudson Waters, Victor Mercado, Cali Medina, Mathew Huss and Nora Rayne McFarland. Jack was Born in Jacksonville & attended Andrew Jackson High School and graduated from University of Florida and was on the Dean’s list and retired from JU as the Data Processing Manager. He loved the outdoors, camping, diving for lobster, water skiing, but fishing, scalloping and gardening were his favorites. He even converted a lemon tree into a lemon lime tree by grafting and converted a large school bus into a camper that slept up to eight. He did belong to a Shell club for many years and also loved to stop in on garage sales to add to his fishing pole and lure collection. Loved by everyone and will be missed by all.
