Obituary of Betty Santana Serrano

Petra Santana Serrano "Betty", age 85, loving mother of three, and widow of husband Jose Matos, passed away in evening hours of January 9th, 2022 after many years enduring heart failure, COPD, diabetes, among other age related conditions. She was born on November 25, 1936 in Mayaguez Puerto Rico and grew up with her grandmother Natividad Serrano, she had four siblings ( two sisters and two brothers). As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. "Betty" became a grandmother in 1977 and then a second time in 1986. Then a Great-Grandmother to her first grand kid in 2006. She was absolutely thrilled about her family growing even bigger and him being the boy she never had. She was very beloved by all her nieces and nephews. In her free time, "Betty" loved socializing with friends, playing Bingo, the Spades, dancing, cooking, collecting dolls, jewelry, watches and reselling. She believed it was very important to always stay in communication with family and friends near and far. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and especially her three daughters: Elizabeth "Tata", Betty and Nancy Rodriguez, her two Grand-Daughters Liz Ortiz and Jerriely Rodriguez and her three grandkids Jerriel, Patricia and Isabella Perez, all adore her with all of their hearts. As we know that we can't have her physically but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got her back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.
