Obituary of Charles Leon Nix Jr.

Charles Leon Nix Jr. (Ray Jr.), 51, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on January 30th, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida. A memorial service will be held at Eternity Funeral Home 4856 Oakdale Ave Jacksonville, FL 32207 on February 9th, 2022 at 2 pm with Pastor Julian JJ Bradley of Christ Fellowship officiating. Charles was born in Duluth, Minnesota to Charles Nix Sr. and the late Teresa Stelly on November 9th, 1970. He went to Fairborn High School in Fairborn, Ohio, and graduated in 1989. He worked in the Ordinance unit for the United States Air Force and was a restaurant General Manager at multiple restaurants. He enjoyed playing music, comic books, cooking, and classic cars. He was a man of faith and a proud Christian. Charles is survived by his daughter Jazmin Nix, son Justin Nix of Jacksonville, North Carolina, his parents, Charles Nix and Donna Nix of Dayton, Ohio, siblings Michelle Nix of Jacksonville, Florida, Kenyatta Nix and (Mrs. Amanda Nix) of Nashville TN and LaChandra Nix of Dayton, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Nix. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
