Obituary of Rosemary Francis Landman
Please share a memory of Rosemary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosemary Francis Landman, age 97, went to be with Jesus on January 24, 2022. She was born in White Lake, South Dakota on October 20, 1924 by her parents Frances (Morath) and Daniel Schilling. She had one sister, Mabel (Rowe), and three brothers, John, Frank, and Daniel. She married the love of her life, Raymond Landman when she was 19, and shortly after, he deployed for World War II. Little did they know, she was pregnant with their son, Ray Landman. Her husband was a Prisoner of War in Germany. After he was rescued and returned home, they lived in Stickney, South Dakota then to Grand Rapids, Michigan. They had five more children, Judy (Richard Weinstein), Stacy (Greg Munn), Nancy (Roger Newton), Katheryn (Robert Fisher), and Tamera (Clifford Brock). After her husband passed away in 1975, she moved to Merritt Island, Florida where she loved the warmer climate. Most of her children moved to Florida and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was proud to say she had 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Rosemary enjoyed baking and cooking for anyone who was hungry, and if you weren’t she would send you home with something to eat. She especially loved baking bread and cookies. She also loved the outdoors, plants, flowers, telling stories about her past, and more than anything she loved her family.
She passed away in her sleep of natural causes and was surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and her son Ray Landman.
There will be a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date by her family.
