Obituary of James Edgar Boone Jr.

James Edgar Boone, Jr was born 4/3/1946 in Nocomis, FL and died 3/13/2022 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Higginbotham Boone, 3 daughters, Michelle (Greg), Stephanie, and Jennifer and one son, James Boone III (Angie). He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Dallas, Sophia, Emily, James IV, Stedtman and Jacob. James, known as JB had a love and passion for fishing, corvette racing, NASCAR and his most recent activity, pulling weeds. In the last year he defeated lung cancer and was currently battling bladder cancer. I would like to thank all the physicians and staff at Baptist Hospital and MD Anderson for the wonderful care they gave him. I also would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff of HCA Florida Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to him the last 2 days of his life. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family will be having an open house Celebration of Life in early May 2022. Details to be provided later. Later, the family will honor him by laying him to rest with "the Fishes".
