Obituary of Timothy Hopson

Timothy Hopson, 59, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away on March 14, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL. A memorial service will be held at Ft Caroline Baptist Church on April 23, 2022 at 12:30 pm with Reverend Ricky Powell of Ft Caroline Baptist Church officiating. Tim was born in Johnson City, TN to Ovie and Eunice Hopson on August 12, 1962. He went to high school at Happy Valley High School and graduated in 1980. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the US ARMY, 18th Airborne Corps, and served from 1980-1983. He worked as a district manager and route salesman for Flowers Baking Company for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and dogs, running the sound board at church. He was an avid sports fan, especially MLB, NFL and college football. Tim is survived by his wife, Cheryl Moore Hopson of Jacksonville. FL . He is also survived by his two adult children, Laura Hopson and Daniel Hopson of Jacksonville, FL, a brother, Kenneth Hopson of Arkansas, as well several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Gail Hopson Scalf and parents Ovie and Eunice Hopson In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ft Caroline Baptist Church for kid’s/ Youth camp scholarships or LOV ministry Angel Arms
