I worked with Dr Muir in Connecticut in the 1980's and learned an enormous amount from one of the best and kindest physicians I have ever known.

I was deeply saddened to read about the passing of Dr. Muir, I was proud to have worked with him in his private practice at Day Kimball Hospital for 14 years, 1981-1995, He was a kind and gentle physician who cared deeply for all his patients.

I remember working w/ Dr. Muir in 2003 when he was at NCH (Naples). He was a very kind man & great physician. I helped him w/ his scanning on the weekends. He will be missed. Condolences to Dr. Muir’s family. We lost a great one.

It's with deep sadness that I read of John's passing. John and I attended elementary and highschool together. Along with our buddies Bruce Williams and Rory McArthur, we had many adventures together. Although we have not been in contact with each other since we were in our late 20s, I would follow John's marvellous medical career. Many patients benefited from John's exceptional skill as a doctor. My condolences go out to John's family, friends and professional acquaintances. Rest in peace John. Your duties here on earth are completed. Some day, some place we will meet again. Don Bowerman

I had the opportunity to work with Dr Muir at Baptist Nassau and as we talked, we learned he had worked at Windham community Hospital in CT where my sister worked as a RN and I worked as a PT while he was at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, MA. He was a caring doctor who shared his knowledge freely. May his family be comforted by knowing how much he was loved and respected.
