Christine Marie Raver Thompson DuHamell
Christine, aka Saphire, and to me she was “Angel". She was 56 years old when she was given her wings. That day, April 10th, 2022 will always be a memory that will never forget, the day that my beautiful wife went to join the Lord in Heaven.
Christine was born to her parents, Frederick and Lorraine Raver, on September 2,1965 in San Diego,California.
Christine is survived by her husband Richard DuHamell II, her daughter Meghann Thompson, her son Travis Thompson, her granddaughter Taeyana Keller, her mother Lorraine Raver-Marsh (William), her Brother Michael Raver, her sister Karen Moore and her nephews Curren and Dylan Moore. She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick Raver.
Christine graduated from Valdosta State College, GA with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, For the last 11 years she worked for US Bank/FSUpayment Systems as a Lead Account Setup Coordinator/Client Support Manager.
Christine enjoyed collecting teapots. Her most cherished teapot is one that she purchased from the Murano Glass Factory in Venice, Italy. She also spent many evenings crocheting and was known for her many afghans and baby afghans that were completed and given as gifts.
Christine loved butterflies and riding with her husband on their motorcycle. She was also known as “The Queen” within her group of close friends. She loved to travel and did several cruises as well. Her travels included Paris, France and three trips to Rome, Italy to visit with her longtime dear friend David. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family at home. Although her very special moments were those times spent with her granddaughter, Taeyana. They loved watching cooking shows, trying new recipes and cooking together. Christine was so very proud of her children, Meghann and Travis and the way they grew to be incredible young adults.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in Memory of Christine to the following charity, www.bestfriends.org. This is an organization that supports pet adoptions and no kill animal rescue facilities.
With her beautiful contagious smile,Christine has always had a big heart and accepted everyone for who they were. She will be missed by so many.
