Obituary of James Calvin Sheldon

James Calvin Sheldon IV, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 6th, 2022. James was born on March 22nd, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Constance “Connie” Tollison (mother) and Earl Tollison (stepfather), also James Sheldon III (father), and Sylvia Sheldon (stepmother), his three sisters Christine Perkins (husband Floyd Perkins), Samantha Salas, and Veronica Williams (husband Russ Williams). James is also survived by his three sons Michael Sheldon (wife Casie Sheldon), Jonathan Sheldon and Matthew Sheldon, along with his grandson Memphis Sheldon. Along with those listed James had many nieces and nephews. James was a joker with a heart of gold, known as the gentle giant, and never hesitated to help anyone out. He was known for his friendliness and was never shy to tell his family and friends how much he loved them. His loud, contagious laugh will be missed so much, and will carry on throughout his family and friends. We will have a celebration of life on May 17th, 2022 at Eternity Funeral Home at 4856 Oakdale Avenue, Jacksonville, FL. 32207. The celebration will begin at 2:00 PM. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
