Obituary of Florence A Bender

Florence A. (Murray) Bender, 87, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023, in Jacksonville, Fl, formerly from Blairstown and Johnsonburg, NJ, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born, May 18, 1935, in Vernon Twp NJ to the late Harold and Florence (Cooper) Murray. She is survived by her seven children, Bonnie Bertholf, Gerald Bender and his wife, Linda, Jeffrey Bender, Susan Bender, Barbara Bender, Robin Hawkins, and Mark Bender. A brother, Gerald Murray and his wife, Patti, and a sister, Ethel, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Gerald (2012), sisters Hazel and Mickey, and a brother, Harold (Bub) and a son-in- law, Kenneth (2021), and a son-in-law, Paul, (2012). Florence has been entrusted to the care of Eternity Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fl. There will be no calling hours, as per her wishes. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
