Obituary of Tonda Anita Williams

Tonda Anita Williams, 52, a Jacksonville resident, passed away on March 15, 2023. The world was blessed on March 8, 1971 when Tonda was born to her parents Miller Williams and Caroline Young in Fernandina Beach, FL. She attended school in California and graduated high school from Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies in 1989. Upon graduation, Tonda moved to Jacksonville, Florida to attend the University of North Florida. She was a proud Osprey graduating with a Bachelors in Health (1994) and a Masters in Educational Leadership (2005). Tonda's career spanned nearly 30 years of teaching in local Duval County schools, the State of Florida Department of Health and corporate trainer for Fortune 500 companies. She was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® (AKA). Tonda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Tonda is survived by her brothers Reginald, Herschel and Byron, Sr. and her beloved nephew Byron, Jr. She will be greatly missed by her sister-friend Shemell and her Goddaughter Monique. She was preceded in death by her mother Caroline and her father Miller, respectively. Tonda leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends to mourn her. A graveside service was held at Bosque Bello Cemetery in Fernandina Beach on Monday, March 27, 2023, where Tonda was laid to rest among her family. Arrangements were handled by Eternity Funeral Home.
