Obituary of Jacquelyn M Andrew

Jacquelyn Merrill Andrew June 9, 1941 – April 2, 2023 Jacquelyn Merrill Andrew, 81, passed away suddenly at home on April 2, 2023. Jackie was born in Gaston County, NC to James Blair Merrill and Frances Hord Merrill. She grew up in Kings Mountain, NC and attended Kings Mountain schools and also The Women’s College of NC. She had lived in Charlotte, Richmond, VA, Houston, TX, Largo, FL and Oklahoma City, OK before retiring in Jacksonville, FL. She spent many years as an executive assistant and retired from the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics as the assistant to the director. Jackie’s passion was reading and read a massive amount of books beginning at a young age. She also loved living close to the beach and spending time there. Survivors: Husband of 56 years: Charles P Andrew Sister: Vickie Holcomb (Von) Sister-In-Law: Joyce Veronese (Richard) One niece, three nephews, two great nieces and four great nephews plus numerous cousins and her beloved furbaby Foxy She will be laid to rest in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC at a later date.
