Obituary of Catherine Jayene Johnson

Catherine “Jan” Johnson Obituary Catherine “Jan” Jayene Johnson, 62, passed away on July 7, 2023, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in North Carolina, she moved to Jacksonville Beach at a young age, has been a local ever since, and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. Jan’s successful career as an IT consultant allowed her to do what she loved - travel the country and see the sights of America. She loved motorcycle rides in the mountains, going on cruises, and spending quality time with her family - especially her two grandsons. Jan was preceded by her parents and three brothers in death. She is survived by four brothers (Addison, Brooks, David, and Robert) and one sister (Livinnia). She is also survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Edwin “Ed” Lee Johnson, her two children, Edwin “EJ” Earl Johnson and Rosalind “Lindi” Feliza Spadacino (Garett Michael), and her two grandsons, Jameson and Walker Spadacino as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jan wished to not have any formal services, but the family will have a gathering with loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Catherine “Jan” Johnson to the American Cancer Society or the Jacksonville Humane Society.
