Was fortunate enough to get to spend time with Farm and Janelle in Hilton Head in March of this year. A real enjoyable luncheon with many fond memories of our long friendship. RIP Farm.

I remember singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" with him at some function, while he proudly played his brand new twelve string guitar.
We traded cars for a while, when he broke his leg, because his four on the floor Chevy Malibu had a clutch that he couldn't operate with a full-length cast. Hottest car I ever had. Must have been a major comedown for Farmer to drive mine, lovingly known as the "Screaming Yellow Bummer" to our fraternity brothers.

Farmer, has impacted my life in many way. I never had a bad time when I was with Farmer. The closest I came to a bad time was when I going attending summer school at Oshkosh and was in need of cash for partying. Farmer told me his Dad was in need of help to bring in the hay from the farm. He would pay me and feed me. That sold me. Farmer picked me up and took me to his farm. I thought I would be working with Farmer, but I was mistaken. When we got to his farm brother Brian Liner arrived and the two of them took off to play golf. Quite the wake up call.

To the family: you have my deepest condolences. I was a member of the Merck sales team and had a few interactions with Don at our sales meetings. He was a very low key but nice person and I had much respect for respect for him. I’m sure he will be missed by everyone.

Janelle,
There has a tremendous outpouring of grief, sympathy and sorry from many of Don's colleagues at Merck Agvet/Merial.
Don trained many of the newly hired sales representatives and new technical veterinarians (like me).
Don owned sales Colorado. And he did by developing relationships by dragging his cooker all over the state cooking for farm stores open houses, veterinary conventions, and lunch for feedlot Cowboys.
I was educated on Gin Rummy by Don at national sales meetings which was very lucrative for Don.
I am going to miss him calling me and wishing me a happy birthday every year for at least 25 years.
