Lillian Elizabeth Weckesser, Age 92
December 13, 1930 – August 8, 2023
Lillian E. Weckesser passed away peacefully at Ascension St. Vincents Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida
on August 8, 2023. Born on December 13, 1930, in Baltimore, MD to Arthur Bernard and Catherine Marie
Hobbs. Lillian was preceded in passing by her husband of 27 years, Norman Edward Weckesser. They
raised their family in Randallstown and later settled in Hereford, MD. Lillian is survived by her brother
Arthur Hobbs and his wife Joann. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Hobbs and wife Inez, and
sister Virginia and husband Will.
Four children survive Lillian: Son Norman A. Weckesser and wife Sharon, daughter Debbie Weckesser,
daughter Terri Stanton and husband Donald, and son Daniel Weckesser and wife Beverly. Grandchildren
also survive her: Angie Rodgers and husband Robert, Amanda Thomas and husband Donald, Nickolas
Weckesser and wife Jenn, Michael LaCoste and wife April, Corey Papale and husband Danny,
Christopher Stanton, Jessica Giron and husband Alex, Jennifer Giron, and predeceased by Shannon
Weckesser. Great-grandchildren: Devin Weckesser, Kyle Heinz, Cordae Green, Carter and Cooper
Thomas, Ava Papale, Nick Papale, Atticus Nieman Hughes, Jonathan and Zachary Stanton, and Camden
and Melani Giron.
Lillian worked for more than 20 years as an office administrator for Long & Foster Realty in Maryland, and
after retirement moved to Largo, Florida, where she continued part-time work at the Barrington Senior
Living until she was eighty-one. Her favorite memories from her time in Largo was spending time with her
close friends at the Largo Family restaurant. Lillian moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2018. Lillian's most
precious gifts in life came from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved shopping,
pedicures, going to the hair salon, eating at her favorite restaurants, family events, and staying connected
with friends and family on Facebook. She especially enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays,
displaying mementos and family pictures, and was known for wearing the latest fashion styles with her
matching “bling.”
A graveside memorial service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD
21784 on a date to be determined.
