Obituary of Joseph Gainers

Joseph B Gainers passed on Feb 27, 2024. He is survived by his son and daughter Joseph and Danielle and his sister Alice, Barbera, Jackie and brother Brian Gainers and a long list of family members too numerous to list. He spent most of his time living in Orange Park Florida reminiscing about past years and making a home for himself helping others where he could and when he could. Most of his life was spent dealing with the effects of the Vietnam war that plagues so many of his generation. He loved to cook, sing and talk about family and traditions. He was a member of his church and gave generously of his self and of his time. He laughed, he sung and was known to carry a tune. He loved his family and cherished anytime he could talk to them. When he was able to travel, he would come to California and visit, and his children and they would do the same. He had a profound influence on his children being a very decorated veteran. His son and daughter followed in his footsteps. His son who is a veteran of 14 years who still works with the military and his daughter, a nurse who works for the VA. “Big Joe” your laughter and ability to love as well as your influence will be greatly missed.
