Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A LIFE TAKEN TOO SOON It is with extreme sadness & a permanent scar to my heart that I announce the passing of my Loving, Strong, Loyal, Respectful, Gorgeous, Soulmate, and Proud to call my Husband, ANTHONY JOSEPH MARINACCIO who left us so young at the age of 48 years old. In the early morning hours on April 5, 2024, he had passed away peacefully and unexpectedly next to his best friend; the love of his life; his soulmate; his wife, Becky Ann Marinaccio (Szlachetka), at their Florida residence. Anthony struggled with heart issues since 2019 and since have progressed into so much more. It cuts me so deeply that no one was able to help this amazing human being and figure it out. Anthony was born on April 20, 1975 in North Tonawanda, New York, at 2:15pm, to his loving mother, (predeceased), Carol Jean Marinaccio (Lyons). Anthony was a proud step-father to Alec M. Szlachetka and Noah J. Grabar; who he immediately accepted as his own. He also was a wonderful Son in law to Ronald G. Szlachetka, and made him proud each and everyday showing him unconditional love. Also, included is his loving sister in law, Jill R, Michno and nephew Elijah Michno. Although not related by blood, but always considered family, Anthony leaves behind, his nephew, Frank Quagliano. Anthony was the youngest of four siblings. Left behind surviving family members also include his older brother, Paul Marinaccio; his loving sister, Angela Marinaccio; and Lenny Marinaccio, brother; along with several beautiful nieces/nephews, Aunts/Uncles and cousins. Anthony also leaves behind his fur animals who he loved so dearly. Jack who would never leave his side and always knew when something was wrong with his Master. He brought Anthony so much joy and happiness beyond words. Jamison, our pretty girl, was his little girl he never had and pampered her with love and taught her how to swim after 14 years of being afraid of the water. Lastly, Napoleon was sure to bring him much laughter each and every day with his overload of cuteness and personality. In his early years, Anthony proudly volunteered as a firefighter with Rapids Fire Company located in Lockport, New York. Anthony was a proud member, Union Stewart, and Laborer for the Local 210 Union located in Buffalo, New York for 24 years. His passion and dedication was like no other. He always spoken so highly of and was so ever proud to be a part of. He fought everyday to keep working until his health wouldn’t allow him to work anymore. This truly devastated him each and everyday. He loved all of his Union Brother and Sisters and considered each and everyone of them family. Anthony loved being married to his Best friend, soulmate, and wife. She stood by his side every step of the way through all of his struggles and battles with his health, as he did the same for her. They complimented each other extraordinarily. . Their love for one another was untouchable and unbreakable. A love like no other. He was truly happy and finally felt love and acceptance he so long yearned for his entire life. He was so happy to sell their home in Cheektowaga, NY; 3 years ago and move to Jacksonville, Florida. With hopes to find peace and start living their best lives ever. His love for Nascar will live on through his wife. He got to do so many things that he has never done before. He enjoyed fishing, the ocean, sunsets, cruises, trips, our Christmas parties and 4th of July parties we held. He enjoyed working in his garage and tinkering around fixing things. He took such pride in everything that he owned. He simply loved taking in all of the sights to see and exploring. He especially was proud of his "Marinaccio Oasis”, home, that his wife and himself created together. Anthony's heart is so beautiful, loving and selfless. He always put his family first. They were his number one priority. His out pouring of love for them was sure to be seen by all. Although his heart may not have been functioning properly, his heart was untouchable, irreplaceable, and filled with so much love; and to me it was absolutely perfect. We are sincerely grateful to the many family and friends who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss. A Celebration of Life/Memorial service will be held in their Florida residence on August 9th. Officiated by their pastor of their church they attend, followed by a sit down dinner and a firework send off for My Big Bear, who loved to put on a show. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider donations or cards.
