Obituary of James De John Barcaro
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James (Jim) DeJohn Barcaro, 59, of Yulee, passed away on April 28th, 2024 in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Jim, born to John Ardelino and MaryAnn DeJohn-Barcaro, on May 24, 1964 in Lowell, Massachusetts, and later adopted by Anthony Barcaro, lived a full life. He lived in many places throughout his life, including Mexico, Spain, and France, but called Fernandina his home.
Jim’s biggest passions in life were sharing his love for Jesus, his family, and everything to do with music. An avid guitar player, Jim spent countless hours perfecting his ability. Jim played in many bands, and was a part of Living Waters World Outreach Church’s worship team where he had held the position of worship leader for seven years. With a career spanning over 40 years, Jim had been a part of many music albums including multiple albums of his own. He was prolific in the music industry, but his heart and passion was ministering through music to Jesus and others.
When Jim wasn’t playing the guitar, he could be found spending time with his family, naming his farm animals, going on trips with his wife, telling people about Jesus, and sharing his love of music with others. Jim was a firm believer that everyone can experience the love and the redemption of his Healer and Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived his life in such a way that showed just that.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa Barcaro; children, Rachel, Dylan, Zachary (Hannah), Melody, Sebastian, Adrian, Tony, and Micah; grandchildren, Haley, Sophia, and Joshua; mother, MaryAnn Barcaro; brother, Frank Barcaro; and canine companion, Ruby.
Jim’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 18th, at 10 am at Living Waters World Outreach Church in Fernandina Beach, Florida, followed by a reception at his home.
