Obituary of Betty Jean Boswell

Betty Nash Boswell went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2024, after a brief hospitalization. She lived 93 wonderful years. Betty Jean Nash Boswell was born on July 4, 1931, in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Jesse and Johnnie Powell Nash and was one of five children. After high school, Betty worked in a bank where she met the love of her life, Bobbie Lee Boswell. They married shortly afterwards and had many adventures including living in multiple states until they settled in Jacksonville, Florida. They were together for over 40 years until he passed in 1997. Betty has been retired for many years but had a fruitful career as a bank teller, bookkeeper, administrative assistant, and home health aide. Her most precious job was being a mother to her two sons, Keith and Carlin, and a grandmother to Robert. During her 93 years, Betty enjoyed many activities including cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, watching college football, spending time with friends and neighbors and her bible study group. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bobbie Lee Boswell, and all her siblings: Elba Nash Brazil, Ester Nash Broadnax, Ruby Nash Staples, Ethel Nash McGaugh and Lawrence Nash. She is survived by her sons, Keith Bowell, Carlin (Christine) Boswell, grandson, Robert Boswell along with many nieces and nephews.
