Obituary of Bobby J. Guichet

Bobby James Guichet, Sr. was born on September 6, 1956, to Nester and Hilda Guichet in Ponchatoula, LA. Bobby had a gift for connecting with people. Whether at the grocery store or the laundromat, he always made an effort to bring joy to others, often with a joke or a smile. Bobby passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his life partner, Annie Caldwell, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his three sons: Bobby Guichet, Jr. (and Hailey) of DeRidder, LA; Leonard Guichet (and Brittany) of Opelousas, LA; and Byron Guichet (and Leslie) of Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Byron Guichet (and Brealyn) and Baleigh Guichet, as well as two great-grandchildren, Cash Rammel and Remington Guichet. Additionally, Bobby is also survived by his dear friend and case manager of over 18 years, Tonika Boulware, who was a source of great support and companionship. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the FACT Team North for their years of dedicated service and compassionate care for Bobby. Bobby’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and humor.
