August 28, 1934 - January 10,2025
Betty Calhoun, affectionately known as Nana, was a guiding light to her family, born on August 28, 1934, in Monroe, Georgia. Her passion for cooking brightened her career at Batram, where she retired. In her leisure time, she cherished "round table talks" & scrabble with her loved ones, fostering a legacy of love and connection. Betty's memory will be deeply cherished. She was preceded in death by her parents (Carey & Betty Smith) and four children (Wanda, Peggy, Tyrone & Janette). Her loving spirit lives on through her daughter, Juanita Childs, and two sons Steven Christopher (JoAnn) and William Leroy Smith, 14 grandchildren, host of great-grandchildren, & great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
No funeral service will be held, there will be a repast. In honor of Betty (Nana) the repast will be held this Saturday January 18,2025 at 2:00PM. This will be held at Juanita's home, please reach out to the family for the address.
