Charles Alden Wilson, 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, beloved husband of Mary (Shelton) Wilson for 52 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on Friday, February 7, 2020. He was born in New Britain, Connecticut.
Charles is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Julie Stiles (Glenn), son James Wilson (Amy), six grandchildren, Samantha, Chandler, Kaley, Jimmy, Aubree and Abbigail, his sister Della Hoese (Jerry) along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ida Mae Wilson.
Charles loved the Lord with all his heart and praised him every Sunday by playing his guitar and singing. His family, who he cherished and adored, were the center of his life.
A celebration of life service will be held honoring Charles on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Lenox Avenue Church of God, 3349 Lenox Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32254.
