Maureen Theresa Tancredi LITWINIEC
October 29,1953 -September 23, 2023
Maureen Theresa Tancredi Litwiniec, of Upper Darby, PA and Amelia Island,
Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the
age of 69 while holding the hand of her husband Robert E. Litwiniec. Together
they shared a marriage and partnership for 45 years. Maureen graduated from
Archbishop Prendergast in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. After high school,
Maureen received her Diploma from Penn State University, where she majored in
Education and French Literature. She forever remained an avid Nittany Lions
Fan. For 30 years, Maureen and Bob lived in Lansdowne, Delaware County, PA
and spent time at their summer home in North Wildwood, New Jersey, where she
enjoyed reading, sitting on the porch with her beloved dog, and watching
Jeopardy.
Maureen opened and operated her own Montessori School, The Penn-Wynn
Children’s House in Penn-Wynn, Pennsylvania for 30 years before she retired and
moved to Florida. She loved being a mentor to all the children that crossed paths
with her. The mark that she left on their hearts was evident when she would
receive correspondence from her former kindergarten students long after they
graduated from college. She touched many children on their road to success,
and it gave her joy to have been part of it.
Maureen was preceded in death by her mother Mary T. Tancredi and her father,
Ralph Tancredi, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Litwiniec of
