Aunt Carolyn was my mother’s younger sister and my earliest memories of Aunt Carolyn was visiting her and Uncle Clay and our three cousins every year all the way down to Florida which seemed to take forever (from Birmingham, AL) and how excited we were about it. We always looked forward to it and I remember her being so much fun and full of laughter. We always looked forward to going to Uncle Johns Pancake House every morning for breakfast and always eating and playing games in the evening. She was a wonderful person and she always took good care of our grandmother when she was living in Florida. Later in life, we did not get down to see her very often but am so glad we were able to see her recently and was able to tell her how much she was loved. I know how much she loved our Lord and I know she is in Heaven with Him now where there is no more suffering and surrounded by His Love. We will miss you but know we will see you again one day. Sending our Love to Sherry and Butch, Susan & Hilty Burr

The Brown family were neighbors to our family, the Dinsbeer’s. We grew up with their kids, enjoying many years of friendship together.
Mrs Brown was like a second Mom to us, caring for us in so many ways, and making sure we were doing what we were supposed to be doing. She was the best cook and always shared whatever goodies she had made with us.
I especially appreciated her allowing us to swim in their pool on those very hot summer days.
Not just neighbors and friends, they were an important part of our church family too. Both Carolyn and Clay worked with us at University Christian School during the early days of UCS. 50 years later we still talk about the positive impact they both had on all of us who loved and worked side by side with them.
Mrs Brown was, and always will be, a special person in our lives.

I am proud and thankful to the be the son of Carolyn R. Brown. I was named after my late father, her husband, Henry Clay Brown, Jr.
She loved our family and worked hard to help them in any way that was reasonable and supportive. She was remarkably very healthy for most of her life.
She loved to travel. I accompanied her to Greece, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Cyprus and Canada. The picture is from our Anchorage to Vancouver cruise with Dad.
I will miss you Mom. Your support over all these years meant a lot to me. Rest in peace, you deserve it.
Henry Clay Brown, III
