Obituary of Carolyn R. Brown
Please share a memory of Carolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brown, Carolyn R.
Carolyn, age 94, will be remembered most for her devotion to her
late husband, Henry C. Brown, Jr., and her family. As an expression of
her love and efforts to keep the family and extended family together,
she continued to host family gatherings well into her late 80s. She and
her husband closely followed her late son, John W. Brown’s, junior
and high school involvement in football and other sports. In the late
70s through the early 90s, she and her husband owned and operated
Uncle John’s Pancake House near University and Beach. Many also
remember her as the cafeteria “lunch lady” in the earlier years of
University Christian School. She and her husband were active at
University Christian Church and, in their later years, at Kernan Blvd.
Baptist Church. She was an avid reader of mystery and thriller books. She is survived by her
daughter, Sherry J. Sing; her son, Henry C. Brown, III; and her grandchildren, Christopher
McFadden and Sheena Brown, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial service
will be held at Eternity Funeral Home Tuesday June 4th at 10am
